What I'm missing is the ability to see the percentage chance to jam someone (like QuickFit had) since I focus mainly on ECM warfare. Or am I just missing it? I can't seem to find anywhere to see my ECM effectiveness against an enemy.

Originally by: oniplE You will always need cruiser 5 to fly those ships, so it doesnt matter how much dps it does with cruiser 4, since you wont be able to fly it @ lvl 4.
Which basically means that EFT will ASSUME that you have Cruiser V, regardless of what you have set it to and thus calculate DPS from Cruiser V.

Originally by: Agathorn So far i'm really liking this program! Though the lack of any documentation that I see is probably making me miss features.
Is there any way to have it spit out what skills I need for a certain ship fit? This was one feature I really depended on in other apps.
When you have your imported character, just fit the ship and select your character. The "light" next to your char will be red (since you lack the skills) and not green. Mouse over the red light and it'll list all the missing skills.

You can allways right click on MAPC and change relevant skill - try it :)
Greyed out. I assume that means there is no relevant skill, so I must continue to ask - is this accurate or a bug?
Some named MAPC add up to 12-13 grid. Could be something like that?

Originally by: WilIam Hung That's not what I mean. Situation 1: Low MARII 1600MM Rolled Tungston Situation 2: Mid LSEII
By adding MORE HP in shield, the overall tank goes up, but by adding armor, it dosen't.
I understand that shield recharges and armor dosen't, but my point is, the armor (which is being recharged by the MAR) is not going up (dps/tank) when HP (1600mm) is added.
I believe you misunderstood me
No, she did not misunderstand you. You cannot tank more DPS simply because you add more armor HP, since armor HP will not regenerate. You will simply just add more time until you die.
Example:
1000 HP, 150 DPS tank. Incoming damage is 200 DPS. You die after 20 seconds 10000 HP, 150 DPS tank. Incoming damage is 200 DPS. You after 200 seconds. But you will not tank MORE DPS just because you had a bigger buffer.
With shields, you have a set recharge rate, and a buffer. Increasing total shieldpoints will INCREASE the recharge amount on the shield, since the shield retains it's recharge time.
Thus:
1000 HP tank, 1000 second recharge = 1 HP / s 10000 HP tank, 1000 second recharge = 10 HP/s (average numbers here)
Therefore you actually increase the DPS tanked by adding more shield HP, since your shield recharges more HP / sec if you increase it's buffer. Armor will not.
The armor repper will not repair MORE HP/sec just because you add a buffer. Neither will a shieldbooster. The PASSIVE recharge rate will, however.
Clearer now?

Originally by: Soeniss Delazur I am getting troubles with the skill update. Wanted to wait a bit before reporting it since CCP has had an import recently, but it still doesn't work.
I¦m getting all my characters with "(cached)" mention on them. TQ status doesn't work either. I am able to load in new API keys but it would still not show me what skills are in training. It works on my PC at work though.
I run EVEmon from home (no proxy information), version 2.8 downloaded from the OP. I haven't changed my network settings and EVEmon has always run just fine.
What can I check in order to identify the problem? Thanks by advance
Maybe you should try at the Evemon site. This is for EFT dude.

That is most certainly due to how EFT calculates cap. It's really not advisable to trust EFT too much in such tight situations.
For the most part, you don't have modules draining cap every second, but more like every 5th or more. This can cause your cap to drop below "optimum" and as such, you aren't recharging fast enough, and will slowly drop to caplessness. That's just how the game works.
Training those two last levels will certainly help you, and if EFT reports stable at 45%, that is probably true, and you will not be very much in danger of dropping below 30% since you have a 15% buffer.
With 32% a healthy sneeze will bring you below optimal and dwindle off into caplessness. So be really careful in trusting EFT with that tight marginals. EFT is only a best estimate on cap-stableness and dps / tank.

That was very unnecessary and derogatory at Sikari for his hard work on pyfa, which for your information has been out for what? A week?
EFT is good, and so if pyfa, now STFU and use whatever you like, but quit spitting on peoples hard work. ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? EVE is a game of adaptation and planning. Adapt or die. |
